Creating CEMS Celebrations

Here’s a little secret: I’m not just the editor and creator of the CEMS 35th website — I’m also a proud CEMS alum. LSE and ESADE in case you wondered. IYKYK.
So when the opportunity came to shape this digital home for our vibrant community, I was all in.
From day one, I poured my heart, soul, and plenty of questions and ideas into building a website that wasn’t just a pretty face but a powerful storytelling platform.
As the editor, content creator, and curator, I carefully crafted every piece of content, weaving in SEO strategies and marketing keywords designed to boost visibility and bring our amazing CEMS community closer than ever.

What does that mean in plain English? Or Spanish or French? Because to be a CEMSie, you need to speak at least three languages! IKR!
I made sure every blog post, every event update, every profile was optimised for search engines so alumni, current students, and future members could find us with ease — whether they were Googling “CEMS alumni network,” “international business exchange program,” or “best global student experience.”
I’m basically the friendly neighbourhood SEO wizard behind the scenes. With less flowing robes but definitely a magic wand and tricks up my sleeves.
What makes it stand out?
I worked on the whole 35th Anniversary and decided to break it down in the following way;
12 Concepts
12 Concepts that were key to the CEMS World, from Community to Inspiration to Knowledge, we published every month making sure the huge variety of CEMSies were featured.
Community Spirit
I have wanted to pin down the community spirit of CEMS for decades and I interviewed Alumni, businesses and so many more people to make this website sing.
Involvement
The Whole community was invited along to take part, from interviews and even competitions. We had newsletters and much more information going on.
And here’s the best part: the feedback has been incredible. What a way to celebrate 35 years of this wonderful tertiary education alliance. The community has embraced the site with open arms, calling it “a vibrant hub of connection,” “clear and inviting,” and “exactly what we needed.”
Hearing that made every late night and snack break 100% worth it.
Oh, and did I mention I did all this while living with hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome? Yep, naps and snacks powered this whole project — proof that passion and a little self-care can create something truly special.
So next time you visit the CEMS 35th website, remember: you’re stepping into a space crafted by an alum who’s part creator, part editor, part marketing guru, and 100% community champion.
